What to expect & what you get

In a typical week you can expect to work on 4 lessons. Each lesson will require you to work in Mastercam to draw a part and then apply Toolpaths  with the guidance of Step by Step Instructions in both Written and Video format.

After each lesson, you will be required to submit an exercise which reviews the skills and knowledge you obtained in the lesson. At any time during the course,  you will have access to your instructor who is there to answer questions and guide you along the way.

Upon completion of this course, you will receive a camInstructor Certificate for Mastercam which qualifies you for the camInstructor Certificate Program for Mastercam for your school.  In addition to that, you receive a full year of 24/7 access to the online content of your course.

  • What can I expect?

    All of our online courses are hands-on with more than 75% of your time spent working on projects. This keeps things very interesting. We start you off creating simple parts (CAD Drawings) and move you along to more difficult parts, adding toolpaths along the way. This means that you’ll learn concepts and immediately put them into action.

  • What is a typical day? 

    A typical day will consist of working on 1 or 2 Mastercam Lessons which will include using Mastercam to draw and Toolpath a part. You have the opportunity to chat with the instructor any time during the course via Slack which is a desktop/mobile application that is extremely user friendly.

  • How do I communicate with the Instructor? 

    When you have a question you can access your instructor through the Slack messaging system.  When you ask the instructor a question he will respond with an answer that may be  accompanied by a short video that provides the answer you need.
  • How much time should I allot to work on a the course?

    You should be willing to spend 5 to 10 hours each week.

  • How do I pass the course?

    You will be required to submit completed exercises at the end of each lesson. Your instructor will review the submitted exercises to make sure they have been completed successfully. Upon the successful completion of all the exercises a Certificate will be issued. There is no exam at the end of the course.
